I had been looking forward to this past weekend for months. And no, not because of the nutrition workshop. Yesterday we got to set the clocks forward for an extra hour of spring as daylight savings began. And while it’s not as comfortable as “falling back” (re: losing an hour of sleep rather than gaining one) having more sunlight at the end of the day is well worth any initial discomfort.
Daylight savings — what we’re currently on — used to only last about half the year, maybe a little more. Now it has a nice run of seven to eight months, with the exception of Arizona, which does not observe it.
I needed plenty of caffeine today, but still catching twilight when I left work at 7:20 was excellent.
Here’s to sunny days ahead.
