Sugar, spice, and a weekend so nice

The past 30 hours have been a blur. I woke up at 4:30 a.m. to catch a 6 a.m. flight to Baltimore and 7:30 MARC train into D.C. Running on four hours of sleep, I am about to crash… hard.

The weekend was absolutely wonderful! My mom had done much of the preparation for our friend’s bridal shower, but I was able to pitch in with last-minute details. That night I met friends at one of my favorite restaurants, Shiki Sushi in Durham, before going out for a drink at The Crunkleton in Chapel Hill. The next morning I had coffee with a friend at cafe that’s definitely worth hiding in — Bean Traders — before heading over to my great aunt’s for Easter lunch. Good friends, delicious food, and North Carolina in the spring — it’s a hard combination to beat.
